SkyAndTime.com operates this website. This Privacy Policy explains how information is used when you access our weather, air-quality, world-time, Sun & Moon, calendar, timer, countdown, and date-calculator tools.

Our Contact page is the designated place for questions and privacy requests. We do not publish a direct contact email address. The Contact page shows whether message submission is available.

This policy describes the features currently available on this website. Access through a hosted private preview is also subject to the hosting platform’s privacy practices.

02 Information used by the tools

A city or date you enter can reveal personal information. Avoid including sensitive information in event names or other free-text fields.

03 Location is your choice

Selecting Use my location requests location access through your browser. If you allow it, the tool uses your device’s coordinates to find relevant local information. You can decline and search for a city instead.

Coordinates are sent to the relevant data service. Weather and air-quality pages round device coordinates; Sun & Moon can use the coordinates as supplied by your device and save them in your browser. The Calendar page can reuse that saved location.

You can revoke location permission in your browser’s site settings. Clearing saved site data removes locally saved locations; revoking permission alone does not remove previously saved data.

04 Cookies and saved preferences

World Time and Sun & Moon use browser local storage to remember selected cities, a location, and clock-format preferences. Local storage stays on that browser until you or your browser clears it. It is separate from cookies.

Optional first-party traffic analytics runs only when enabled by the site and allowed by your browser choice below. It uses a signed consent preference (120 days), a random browser identifier (30 days), and a session identifier (30 minutes). DNT and Global Privacy Control disable collection. No raw IP address, precise coordinates, full search text, payment secrets, or authentication secrets are stored in traffic reports. Hosting and embedded maps have their own privacy practices.

To remove saved preferences, open your browser’s site settings and clear the site’s stored data. This can also reset other settings and sign you out of the hosting platform. You can manage cookies and location permission in the same settings.

05 External services and sharing

Some features connect directly from your browser to another service. Those services receive the request details and network information needed to respond, and handle that information under their own policies.

Links to other websites open services with their own privacy practices. Their retention periods and storage controls are governed by their own policies.

06 Countdown links and downloads

When you choose Share link on a countdown, its event details are encoded in the link. Anyone who receives the link and can access the page can read those details. Only share information you are comfortable disclosing.

Calendar files and CSV exports are generated for you to save or share. Once you import or send a file to a calendar app or another service, that service’s privacy practices apply. Calendar reminders are handled by your calendar application; SkyAndTime.com does not currently send reminder emails.

07 Accounts, advertising and contact

Account and billing availability depends on the configured site services. Advertisement spaces remain placeholders. Consented analytics can summarize tool usage, account access plans, and verified account or payment outcomes. Test billing events are excluded from production conversion reports; approved complimentary access is identified separately from payment.

The Contact form is being prepared to use Cloudflare Turnstile for human verification. Turnstile is not loaded while message submission is unavailable. Once enabled, its security check involves Cloudflare processing browser and network signals. Cloudflare privacy information ↗

The Contact form asks for your name, reply email address, topic, and message. When submission is unavailable, those entries are not sent or saved. When the form is enabled and you submit successfully, the details are retained in a restricted support inbox for up to 90 days and may be sent to our verified support recipient through an authorized transactional email provider. Your address is used for replies, not marketing. Administrator configuration-change records may be kept for up to 365 days. Cloudflare Turnstile is used to detect abuse. Do not include passwords, payment details, or identity documents.

We will update this policy to describe changes in data collection before introducing services that require additional personal information or tracking.

08 Retention and security

Saved browser preferences remain until you or your browser clears them. Calculator inputs, timer sessions, and cached results generally remain in the page’s memory for the current session. Downloaded files, copied links, and browser history can remain after the page closes.

Traffic summaries retain up to 400 days; unprocessed traffic events retain at most 30 days. Analytics records use pseudonymous identifiers and aggregate page/tool categories. Withdrawing optional consent stops future collection; a verified privacy request can remove account-linked summaries. Security and administrator audit logs are separate. Hosting and external-service logs are governed by those providers’ arrangements. We do not control how long copies you share with other people or services are retained.

No website or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in free-text fields or shared links.

09 Your privacy choices

• Use city search instead of granting device-location access.
• Revoke location permission through your browser’s site settings.
• Clear saved browser data to remove stored locations and preferences.
• Choose whether to share countdown links or export files.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to certain processing.

Our tools are intended for a general audience. Please do not provide children’s personal information through the contact form or shared countdown links.

10 Updates and privacy questions

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services and data practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be described before the affected features collect information.
